TheBiarritz Aquarium opens its doors to you for an original discovery of the sea bed.
In the center of Biarritz, facing the Rocher de la Vierge, the Aquarium of Biarritz, with its Art-Deco building, invites the public to discover 50 aquariums. The visit begins in front of the Bay of Biscay tanks: jellyfish, octopus, seahorses... to discover the species that inhabit the Atlantic coast.

Located on the Basque coast, at the mouth of the Adour river, the Izadia Ecological Park has been open since the end of 2007. It is an opportunity to discover the biodiversity of coastal wetlands. This 15-hectare park, as beautiful as it is discreet, welcomes you on a discovery path, punctuated by 10 stations, allowing you to understand the balance and the relationships between ecosystems.

 

The Salle Quintaou is a cultural and convivial venue that hosts the City of Anglet's cultural season, which is resolutely oriented towards family culture, as well as the artistic proposals of partners such as the Scène Nationale Bayonne Sud Aquitain, the Orchestre Régional Bayonne Côte Basque and Anglet's cultural associations.

The Fêtes de Bayonne is a popular communion. As a prelude, a street market, a championship of omelette with peppers, "la Foulée du festayre" and a rowing regatta. Afterwards, everyone is re-dressed and re-baptised. The participants are all festayres dressed in red and white.

The Espelette pepper, recognized AOC-AOP, is cultivated on 10 communes: Ainhoa, Cambo-les-Bains, Espelette, Halsou, Jatxou, Itxassou, Larressore, Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle, Souraïde and Ustaritz. Every year in autumn (the last weekend of October), Espelette celebrates its chilli pepper.
